Happy belated holidays to you all. I hope you all enjoyed them. We did, but in a slightly different way than normal. Our experience this year gave me the idea for this week's article. It just isn't always perfect. In fact, whatever it is you're doing - it's never perfect. It simply is what it is. For some reason one of my biggest "perfection buttons" is raising children. It can so quickly and easily feel as though everything must be done to perfection, or there will be some imperceptible emotional or psychological scar on this beautiful blank slate with which you've been gifted.

One of the wonderful things about the internet – making community out of world. I'm still accepting applications/ideas. I'll keep accepting them right up through the day before Easter.

By now you probably have an idea of what kind of Easter Basket you are going to have to give or use: something kinder to the environment either now or later, I hope. Remember, with being green we are looking at the long-term picture.

Easter Baskets: A symbol

In Poland and other Eastern European countries religious people would take their Easter baskets to church to be blessed the Saturday before Easter. In these baskets, we would put in a bit of the food for our dinner on Easter Sunday, when we would break fast and abstinence. These baskets represented what we were grateful for, both from nature and from God.
