Decorating Children's Rooms On a Budget

Tagged:

In response to the overwhelming (think tidal wave) of questions we receive about children's rooms, we wanted to devote the entire week to focusing on ideas, creative inspiration, and helpful suggestions for our sweet bundles of joy! A question we often are asked is "How do I transition the room from baby to toddler and beyond?"

Many times the answer is simply, "Color palette." The room above is an excellent example of how an unusual color scheme (and the cutest use of an old frame) will read well for the next step in this baby's life. By removing the crib, adding a bed and some other furniture (in this case....picture a train table filled with cranes and red engines) this room becomes a toddler's room without having major adaptations in the decor.

We want to showcase other themes and hand-painted rooms. In addition, we plan on addressing storage and ideas for displaying those beautiful handmade creations that arrive home at an overwhelming rate!

Lastly, although we have great ideas (some have even said fabulous ones), contrary to popular belief, we have not thought of every idea there is. (We know...shocking isn't it!)

This is where we need your help. If you have a room with a great idea, e-mail us a picture and we will feature it as well!

So come with us on our journey this week and together we will conquer the wonderful world of decorating.
