Tool envy
I am a beekeeper and I just came back from our monthly meeting where I was reminded by our lovely Honeybee Queen of the best tool. She keeps her tools in a cute cart with a tall handle -no bending over - and a fabric tool box of sorts with lots of pockets. (I soo need this!)
One of the first things she pulled out was a thin, well-used roll of duct tape.
Duct tape is the best - and yes I really am a girl. Many men in my life are aghast that I love the stuff - normally a favorite of folks of the xy persuasion.
The stuff is great for fixes on the fly and for fixing things unseen. I'd forgotten my well-loved roll in my hive kit only to realize that I need it. And I need it now! I have a slight warp in the wood of part of my hive creating a gap - a gap that would be eminently fixable by duct tape.
So what are you favorite uses of duct tape?

There is nothing that you can't do with duct tape. We just used it to fix a crack in our bumper (someone hit us in the parking lot). My husband had a sharp idea to spray paint it so it matched the car. It really worked and was a whole lot cheaper than replacing the entire thing. We keep several rolls of duct tape in the house for those quick fixes.
