InterCourses an aphrodisiac cookbook
This book may not be a new book but it's one that still gets mentioned now and again. I was so excited to see it at the library since I would never have the guts to purchase this book without giving it a thorough once over. I am glad I did.
The recipes are nice and most of them are simple, elegant recipes. They are worth getting a hand on the book. However, the book is poorly laid out. The chapters make little sense and there is so much dialogue and font changes that the recipes get lost.
I was, also, disturbed by the couples referenced in the book. Many of them had been together for less than a year. It really gave the book a sleazy quality.
I looked at the description of the authors and they refer to themselves as 20-somethings which told me that they lack the maturity to hold my interest.
With that said, though, I think this would be a fun first cookbook for someone moving out on their own, maybe even a newly married couple.
The cookbook finishes with a brief look at massage oils one can make. I think that it's a great way to get someone interested in making their own oils and creams and may lead to something more.
I don't recommend paying the listed $24.95 for yourself - but look for it at the library and you may find something fun in the book.
