Join Today and Support the Share Our Strength Bake Sale
In dealing with our personal times of economic struggle it is critical to remember the gifts and advantages we do have and where we can, share our abundance with others.
President Obama and many of our leaders and wise women and men in our lives are right when they say the only way we will be able to survive and thrive is by working together and taking care of each other no matter what differences in religion, race, politics, gender or background may exist between us.
In other words we need to share our strength and by doing so we will all be renewed and made stronger. (click read more to get the details)
Budget Artists is proud to support the SHARE OUR STRENGTH BAKESALE- and we urge all our readers, channel editors and family and friends to join in and sign up for this great fundraising national wide but locally targeted event.
It is easy to sign up, easy to participate and totally 100% worthwhile.
Still wondering why you should do this as opposed to the many other fund raising requests you get from schools, churches and community groups in your neighborhood…
Here a just some of the reasons:
100% of the funds you raise help feed kids.
Funds you raise from your local bake sale stay local, supporting after-school and summer feeding programs in your community — food programs that hundreds and thousands of kids depend on.
It's a fun solution with a large impact. You can host bake sale based on your schedule and in your community.
You don't have to train for six months to run a marathon or make a large donation to make a huge difference!
Go to the site today, read all about, sign up and maybe you even what to share your plan with other BA writers and readers in the comment thread.
Remember we all need to Share Our Strength and by doing so we will all be stronger!
Plus.. who doesn’t love a bake sale!?!?

After 8 years of Bush, Obama is a very refreshing change. Even if he stays 4 years, I'll be grateful for what he did for us.

Thanks for the post. I am a big fan of President Obama.
Everyone hears about the starving children in Ethiopia, but so often we overlook the kids just down the street who go to school without a lunch and just hope they'll be able to get a sandwich or a bag of chips from a friend.
As a mother, this breaks my heart. As a human being, this makes me furious. And as an editor, this inspires me to use the resources available to make a difference!
Please give it some thought - if the head of the PTA, or your child's teacher, asked you to organize a bake sale to buy new classroom supplies, you'd probably do it. I'm asking you to organize, or participate in a bake sale to feed kids so they can think clearly enough to learn in the first place.
