Spring always gets me. I feel the promise of longer days, warmer weather and dirt. I love gardening and plan more than I can usually accomplish. My vision is bigger than my time. Sigh.

This spring is different. My husband, the Wolf, has decided to active in gardening and my kids are old enough to want to plant seed -and- take care of their plants. Yeah!!

So, I've expanded my garden by about six square feet, bought a ton of seeds, and we are ready to plant today. Last week the kids and the Wolf tilled the soil, adding in compost and ashes. Then they plowed the extra garden section. I think it was really a good excuse to get out his tractor and newly restored plow.

Before putting in the seeds, I get to build a fence. I have PVC pipe in the ground at the corners of the garden and in the middle of the long sides. I have fencing ready to attach.

I'm off to get dirty!
